Fifteen is the end of this category. A fifteen-year-old interested in engineering is better served by the tools adults use - a Raspberry Pi, a soldering iron, a free course, an actual project they chose themselves. We still cover the age because a well-chosen subscription can be the thing that gets a hesitant teenager started, but nobody should buy one here expecting it to be the main event.

Common questions
Should I buy a subscription or just buy them a Raspberry Pi?
If they are already motivated, buy the Raspberry Pi and a good beginner book - it is cheaper and goes further. A subscription is the better buy when the problem is that nothing has caught yet, because it removes every excuse about not having the parts.
Does anything on your main comparison work at 15?
